Well...I finally got the rod holder completed for the Fish Cat. It has provisions for holding 4 rods. The forward position can be converted to an angled holder for using a second rod. There is a mounting base for a small fish finder. The fish finder can rotate and tilt to provide the proper viewing angle. The transducer is mounted on an aluminum bracket made from 1/2 x 1/8 bar stock. It is attached to the lower portion of the rod holders using spring clamps. The clamps allow the transducer to break free if it gets tangled on any brush. The cord keeps it from getting lost. The fish finder is powered with a sealed 12V alarm battery. The battery is stored in a dry bag behind the seat. The attachment to the tube is made with 2 Velcro straps in the upper D rings. The bottom is secured to the back pack D rings under the seat.
