On the recommendation of Mr. Constrictor on a previous thread I picked up the Boomerang cutters. Boomerang makes a couple of models so I was careful in choosing the one recommended for braid. They are small enough to hang on my vest or any place really. They have a retractable cord built in which is very handy on the tube, as in one less thing to drop. Initially they felt very cheap as the casing is plastic and the return spring for the scissor action hangs up quite often. They were $10 on Amazon which seems fairly inexpensive to me. The scissor type blades are steel and function flawlessly when cutting. These things cut through 30 pound braid better than anything I have used so far, hands down the best at cutting through braid. Mono and flouro from 2 up to 15 pound test cut like nothing is there, I mean no resistance to be felt, the blades slice through perfectly. I have not used them on any larger line size and currently have no intention to. So if you are looking for a new cutter I give these things a good recommendation.
