I have not been out fishing in a while now, but I have been working on some stuff that is still related to fishing. I'm still working on my web site to host and sell my lures on. In the mean time I have been painting some custom crankbaits for a few people from word of mouth and the fish heads from work. Here is a Bluegill pattern on a better style lure that I thinks looks much better. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks for all the kind words. I have had a lot on my plate since the last time I was here. One being I had a new computer and needed to finds all my book marked sites. Then a back injury, death's, and the Christmas and new year holidays. But I wont bother you all with that.

I have missed a lot of post's here so I'll have some new reading material for awhile. I have a web site for my lures, but it's not online yet (back injury).

Here's where I am at now. I have recently been selling my lures from word of mouth while selling with Square. My site is still in the works because I am now able to stock up on a wider variety of fishing lures.

I'll post a link on my FB page to the site hopefully very soon. Here is snippet of what I have been working on. Cheers! Dereck

Here is the next batch of lures I am trying out. Looking at these lures, I can see having a problem with applying the epoxy. The joint is way too close. We will find out soon enough I guess.

Great work. You would make a great fish taxidermist. A lot of people don't realize that fish lose their color when mounted, and you have to paint it back.

That, more than anything, makes a good fish taxidermist. The skinning is the next hardest, but is EASY compared to producing a realistic paint job.

Yes, nice work, indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Lure making is another facet of fishing that I've yet to explore, but you're definitely inspiring me to move it up higher on the "to do" list.

If you have not been ice fishing, well you should. I could go on about the pro's and con's but this is not the post for it. Maybe I'll start one in the Canadian section, and go more in detail. But, for now i'll post one more picture of a key chain I made just the other night. I usually make one or two from every lure I make just for showing to people that want to see or buy the real thing. At times I will sell the key chain this is why I make a couple. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers!

Thanks! I came across this idea while trying to figure out what I can do with the lures that have badly damaged bill/lips. This way I can still do something with them without wasting the lure's.

Here is a one of a kind key chain I did the other night. I really like this one. Off to the gym, tomorrow I'll finish a couple more key chains that are ready for painting. Cheers!

Hello forum! I have been gone for awhile once again,  but I have found my way back to say Hi, check in and to post some updates. I did mention that I was working on a website, that I was. It's on the back burner where it has been for much longer than I planned. But, I am selling them from word of mouth and from the guy's from work and it has snowballed from there. My site only allows me to sell only within Canada (Thanks to square) so my site is just a rough copy if you will.  Right now the ice fishing has been slow, but the ice is just over (in places) 14 inches.  One of the big reasons I have not been too active is because I have started a new job (then) and have been busy with a full-time job working at Bass Pro.  So the lures I will try posting are mostly custom for the guy's here at work, and it has snowballed from their. Cheers!
