I wanted to ask this for a while. Komori asked about leg cramps and food seems to be a main topic there.

I try to eat a banana the night before and on the way to fishing. The plan is to get the potassium level up my system. I used to bring fruit or make a sandwich, but they don't travel well. I have been bringing along "Power Bars" as they travel great, take up no space, and they can get wet just fine. I have never felt the need to eat more than two on a six hour trip.

So what are you guys bringing to eat?

Good and Plenty's.

I luv licorice.
I pour a large box into a zip-lock sandwich bag and it lasts me 4-5 sessions and holds up.

Eat a granola bar before I head out...grab a burger on my way home. Drink Gatorade/water while out there. Last time I brought food on the tube, I damn near cried when I dropped the burger into the drink....never again.....

MRE. Very easy to pack and carry. They give you a hot meal if it is cold.

I enjoy a tin of those baby tasty smoked oysters and Ritz crackers.  But you need to be careful not to spill any of the oil that they are packed in.  I also found out that the Perris Bluegill like them too!  I put one on my panfish dropshot rig to dropped it  down in 20 feet of water as I drifted along and ate, and immediately had a big fish try to pull my rod out of it's rod holder!  (I love those Circle hooks.. no hook set needed!)  Make sure you bring along some small Ziploc bags to put the empty tin in so you won't get that oil on your tube and gear.  I use Ziplocs also to put my phone and digital camera in to keep them dry.
