Hey guys.
So I love to frequent pawn shops and thrift shops looking for anything vintage. Rods or reels etc.
As of now I’m looking for a Garcia Mitchell 308 for one of my Kencor Rods or a Shimano MLX100 all I can find is 200’s but I love all the vintage stuff.
I just acquired an Egglug, if you guys remember those.

The oldest fresh water reels/rods..............a Garcia Mitchel 300 on a Fenwick two piece glass rod. A friend gave it to me up in Idaho in 1982, so I have no idea what year the 300 was manufactured............GT

I picked up a Mitchell 308 at Quartsite a few years ago - one of the little stands there had a ton of vintage stuff. But it got stolen from my garage along with most of my fishing stuff. Never had a chance to fish with it. :/

Aww man that’s the worst. If there’s one thing in the world I despise, it’s a thief.

I have a 308 and 408 I bought new in the 70's. Those two mounted on short Garcia ultralights were how I started bass fishing.

They made the 308 in the newer skirted spool later. Mine is original where the line could get wrapped up around the shaft under the spool.
