I am looking for plans to make my own wood landing net. Has anyone here ever done this or attempted to try this. Just curious to see if anyone has done this before.
What kind of wood have you used and was it harder then it looks? Thanks in advance. salute

I've never milled or bent or pressed or anything like that.

But I have purchased the kits - done it twice now. The Net frame shows up pre-cut and drilled.... you managing the sanding, finishing and any custom flourishes, and then string on the net bag.

I'd love to follow someone making one from scratch. Mad skeels there.

Smile

Here is a page I found giving instructions on how it is done from start to finish.

I never ”wanted” to build a net.
However, it looks like once you build the jig and steamer it is smooth sailing. I can see how someone can loose their mind with exotic woods and custom inlays. Food for thought.

Thanks for sharing

Ya you are right just another project eating up time. I was thinking of doing this with my son might be a fun project.
