Anyone tubing Alamitos Bay? It is a pretty good fishery. I use saltwater flies and have done pretty when trolling along the botton. I've caught croaker, spooted bay bass, rays and calico basse. Even an ocassional corbina. Charteruse has been the most effective for me. What has been the groups experience?

As for me I will stay fresh in the lakes afro Back to the topic I know there are alot of guys that tube that area The LAB and i have seen some good pictures of great catches out there. I know jeffcpr has posted a few pic's oh the Alamitos Bay not sure if it is the same spot you fish jerry.
I know the harbors and bays hold some great fish just waiting from the right to land in front of them "FISH ON" sorry cabin fever right now. geek

The bays and harbors are good fun. The fish in the bays fight weay harder than most fresh water fish and a skunk in the salt rarely happens because of the variety of fish. Like Jeff said though it is hard on your gear, but proper cleaning helps fight that
