Hey fellow tubers some of you might know me from another site(s) so you've already read this, for everyone else here we go.
My wife fell on Christmas and broke both legs, left was a compound fracture and the right was not, but due to other medical issues she has they had to cut her knee open and shove a rod down her leg and screw it in place.
Her left leg though got infected and to keep this short she ended up having a total of 9 surgeries to try to fix it. Last Thursday night she lost the battle (surgery #9) and they amputated her leg from the knee down.
Is anyone here a "blacksmith" of sorts, I want to get a ramp made for my cargo carrier I have to be able to wheel an electric scooter (if we ever get one) so she wont have to walk so much at first, until her legs gets stronger and she can walk on it more. Also when we go to the fishing show or other places she wont have to walk much if at all. Sorry if I'm rambling on just a little overwhelmed right now and tired of being strong for everyone especially for the kids. Haven't been fishing for about a month now I'm having withdrawals Sad Crying or Very sad No

we had checked into it when she was in hospital back in Feb but something fell through the cracks, but I just sent her a message to check with the scooter store again on Monday see what can be done this time seeing as how her union is canceling her medical insurance at the end of next month.

I am sure the fab work will get handled some how, as for the scooter, I will keep my ear open for you as well. I have some connections ambulance companies and I now that there gurney van's some times use them so I will check on that end. Stay strong bro and I know the fish will be there when you get back.

Thanks everybody, we thought she was doing good then all of a sudden this bump shows up on the inside middle area of the flap they did on her (the infection).
Last week the first doctor who did the surgery, his office calls to reschedule her appointment when I advised the girl of where she's at and to inform the doc.
He calls back later the same day told him what was going on and when I informed him that the doc that's been doing the surgeries now (who turns out to be his instructor at USC) tells me that there was a screw that had the infection on it the original doc immediately starts kissing my a ss confused it was later when I realized why.
He knows he's got a malpractice law suit on his hands now, back in December he had made the comment that he was worried there might be an infection and that if it didn't get taken care of that it could get infected and that she could loose the leg, if that were to happen he might as well just write us a check. Guess he better write that check with about 7 0's or so Twisted Evil No amount of money is going to bring back her leg now, but it would be nice to have.
