I am going to set out on a bait and wait tactic for trout - maybe power bait with a lipripperz power mouse tail -and work a drop shot wacky worm with a senko and or niko rig deep slow and easy. I might also break out a float and fly with a white marabou. Finesse, finesse, finesse.

AND...try out some of the new baits!!

I allways go with bait and wait on one and then start throwing lures and jigs on the other!

It seems to make sense to go at that way.

What ever you decide to do go with the power mouse with either a white or orange worm and a small ball of garlic dough bait. The stockers seem to love this combo!!!

I am just hunting for LMB's drop shot T-jigs and maybe a jerk bait set up. I may set up a spinning reel to fly line some plastic worms, but it is all LMB's for me.

I was going to drag a purple leech on a sinking line. Can you fish two poles there or one?

Never been to SFD but I will have my anchor bag if needed. Still not for sure I can make it. Is there any kind of current there?

I think it is up to your license, if you have a two rod stamp you can use to rods. But I may be wrong.

I don't remember any currents, it is a small lake pretty still most often.

You can use two rods only if you have a two rod stamp.

No current, but sometimes you get a good breeze across the water.

I have done well crankin' there in the past, but that was in the warmer months.

Drop shot and t-rigged spider jigs most of the time.

Jeff, dont forget those Smith baits. The Bomb The Drop shad looks like it would produce.

Do you have a "Spyder Jig" I can sample too? Smile That one looks killer.

Seriously I will drag a fly on one side and a jig on the other. I usually do this until I locate where the fish are then hone back in on that spot.

Guys don't over look the early spawners!!!
Might be just a tad early, but they me be cruising to find a spot if the weather is good.
I would defiantly be fishing a drop shot deep but looking shallow for the bed makers.
All LMB for me.

This would be of course if i could go but i already had that weekend booked, but good luck guys.

That was what i was going to do drop shot and t- rig the deep area off shore and when the sun is up look in the shallows for the spawners. I just hope we have good weather that day.
