I know we've all been tied up with work and stuff. I myself have been looking to unwind. I've read the threads at length but didn't find any Knotty subjects. So I thought, be you so inclined, you might want to wrap yourself up in some knot techniques. I think these are all pretty familiar to us but maybe someone out there can use a way to tie up some loose ends? Anyhoo, enjoy...no strings attached! study

I really only use two knots ever. One is the Uni and the other is the Palomar. I use the Palomar whenever possible, the Uni for everything else. Most notably, when tying two lines together or tying on a spinner-bait. I have the most confidence in these two. I have used the improved clinch and the rapalla, trilene and others but alwasy go back the the palomar.

You know I don't know what the knot I use is called, but it is old so I I chose the other. But I have been using the Palomar knot more latly

The surgeons knot works good for me and its really easy to tie.

My buddy just gave me a spool of power pro to try and when I tied on my 8 lb leader, the surgeons knot is what I used.

Me too but have recently added the Tony Pena knot for tying fluorocarbon to braid.

I usually use an Albright Special when I use mono or fluro to my Power Pro backing. If I am in need during a trip, I will use a Uni to Uni between braids.
