Jess Ranch Lake Gathering Sponsored by Float Tube Fanatics

As the title stated Float Tube Fanatics will be a gathering sponsor of this event.  Float Tube Fanatics is sending one of there Fish Finder Mounts.  The biggest Bass caught at this event will walk away with there very own Float Tube Fanatics FF Mount.

Date June 28th
Time: 7am till 3pm
Place Jess Ranch Lake (Lake One)
Cost $40 each

We are going to rent out the lake for the FTFF Crew to fish on our own.

One Question was Float Tube only no Pontoon boats?

There answer was this:
"Float tube" means a floating device which suspends a single occupant in the water from the seat down and is not propelled by oars, paddles, wind (sail) or motors. You may not use a paddle to assist movement.Float Tubes must be Coast Guard approved. Only one person per tube. No other kind of apparatus is allowed."

How in the world do you find out if your float tube is CG approved?

If I can make it may have to pack two just incase, I found the no talking on lake policy interesting as well...

I hope you can make it I am sure if it floats you will be fine, I think the lake is small enough that we wont need to shout much at all. Plus the boat traffic and noise will be very limited

Dang. Didn't know they were that strict with their policies. I guess that makes for some relaxing fishing which could be a real good thing.

I was browsing the lakes website and says all fish in lake 1 are catch and release only? Is that true? I'm only asking because I know some people like to keep there trout.

Yes it is catch and release only for Bass only I believe. Plus we will be fishing Bass when we are there it will be to hot for trout.

-Catch and Release for all Fish in lake 1 , also remember that any lure you use has to be 100% barbless.

-it is getting warm for trout , but they are now bringing in catfish , but seeing as this will be a bass fishing adventure , awww well .

- Also I found this interesting : You must Sign all indemnity forms for float tubing !

- Lastly Watch out for the older gentleman on the golf cart . he don't play . your liable to take a shotgun blast to the Buttcheek if you no what I mean and since you sign the form you waive all your rights to ANYTHING ... lol

I can't seem to reach anyone at the lake via phone regarding my kickboat / pontoon boat being acceptable however the manufacturer venture outdoors got back to me via email saying many inflatables and non inflatables came with a hull number number for coast guard approval. Now they are seeing if they can provide me with one incase I ever need even though my model is a few years old.

You can reach them Friday through Sunday from 8am till 3pm, nothing going on during the week.

When I registered my toon with the DMV, I used the Serial Number as the Hull Number. Not sure how else to get a hull number for a toon.
