Ok so technically the title is in the wrong topic but seen as I recently got a tube, well I now have 2 and I've only been twice lol. My main reason for getting one is to fly fish for pike from it so it's rigged out with a finder etc so I can fish drop offs on some local reservoirs.

Anyone else pff from their tube?

Welcome to the wide world of float tubing, I have done Flyfishing from my tube in the past, but it has been awhile since I have done that. We look forward to your pike reports in the future.

I'm all about nailing some pike on the fly rod from my tube! Have tried unsuccessfully a few times but have some great spots I plan to hit up when the weather cools a bit! Any tips you have for a newbie to the pike game on a fly rod?

You've been around too long for a welcome to the forum! So I guess you'll have to settle for a; "Welcome to the forum...again."

No, I've never caught a Pike on my Fly Rod. I want to. But then I want to catch anything and everything on a Fly Rod. I'm happy to see more Fly Fishermen/Women getting out there and on the FTFF.

You'll have to send us some pics from your Toob adventures! You always post such nice pics. Pics are a bit more of a challenge from a tube. Looking forward to some eye candy.

Pike are not picky. Large Clousers or any bass streamer on a heavy flouro tippet would be the way to go for those toothy fellas. Being cold water fish it is usually easier to catch them early in the year. I always catch them by accident while bass fishing.

Thanks for the tips! Maybe as the weather cools this fall I'll be lucky to get into some nice ones!
