I think that I would prefer the Maxxon XPW-240 over their XPW-239 design ... mostly because it's much more like the design of our Cumberland, 7-Bass FT's n' 7-Bass Flatform and the Outcast float tubes, where the XPW-240 design will also allow you to get the hooked fish up to the front edge your FT lap tray for the ease of lifting the fish safely out of the water; with less risk of puncturing the air bladder tubes, and also during the safe, quick release of the fish.
I don't think that it would be as easy nor as safe for the air bladder tube(s) with the XPW-239 wrap-around model, plus it may have a higher risk ratio of punctures by exposing more of it's air bladder surfaces to the barbs of the salt water fish during their CPR.
The plus side .... they appear to be well constructed ... I can't wait to try them out!
Just my 2-cents,
SP Dan <"))><

I am with you SP Dan the XPW 239 is not my first choice but I am interested to see it. There are a lot of people that like that style, just not sure why. A landing net is a must for this boat, but a plus is it is backpackable.
We will get a better look at it soon and maybe we can see the benefit's then but I am with you the XPW 240 seems more useful for us here, here is the kicker for the 240 it is 7' 8" long a beast of a boat very interested to see these both.
