Hello,

Any place safe to float tube fish at Hilton Head? I'm thinking salwater not the gator invested freshwater.

I guessing that your launch sites are in Florida or SC?

I'm located on the west coast (Los Angeles area) and I wont be very much help to you in your area ... but hopefully, someone from your area will chime-in and give you a safe site to launch ... away from the gators!

HEADLINE: Aligators lurking on the sandy beaches from Texas to Florida is definitely a thing.
I was reading on businessinsider.com that the people of Texas have made multiple reports this year of alligators hanging out on their sandy beaches and in the saltwater along the Gulf of Mexico. There have also been sightings on Florida beaches.

Thanks for the response and the concern. I usually fish in the Atlanta area where I live and fish the beaches at Hilton Head when we go there on vacation a couple of times a year.
Those sightings of gators on sandy beaches scare me. My dogs and I often play in the surf for a short time when I'm done fishing for the day.
