Los Alamitos Bay Sat 10-20

Date - Fishing Time: 10/20/18 – 6:15 am – 11:30 am

Location / Launch Location: Los Alamitos Bay, 69th Street

Total Fish Caught: 3, 2 Spotted Bay Bass, 1 Mackerel

Bait Used (No of fish): HUB – Green Sardine (1), HUB – Red Crab (1)

Got here early and met up with Goldfish and Ornery Bob from the forums.
My confidence on the water has absolutely improved. I could not believe how far I went and the area I covered in my morning. Fishing with guys from the forum was great but ended up having a pretty bad fishing day with not much action on the water. I did catch one of the largest bass I have ever measuring in at about 15.5” so that was good but not many fish were caught in the end.
I spent most of my time practicing casting light lures with a baitcaster and feeling pretty confident with it as well.

I really need to learn what colors and lures I should be using in the different situations.

It looks like a nice day on the water from the pics. I'm thinking a 15 inch spotty is good on any day of fishing. How far of kick is that loop?

You know, I have really no idea. It has to be over a mile though. My legs were BURNED when I was done. Could have been because of the wind or distance but I was pretty damn tired at the end of Saturday. Great Exercise!!

great day of fishing keep it up dont worry with experience comes more fish!!!
accept some days they just wont bite no matter what you throw,
thats why they call it fishing not catching!
