Solo Session in LAB, Sat 12-8-2018.
(This was my 62th Float Tube session for the 2018 Season).
I always like to take a few minutes before each session to calm my thoughts and to remember to give thanks; for being so BLESSED to have my health and for this opportunity of being able to be here today ... enjoying the water, all of it's abundance and to take-in the breath taking sunrise of each morning .... amen!
Session Summary:
I had planned on fishing at LAH this morning but they had "No Parking" signs posted on delineators stating "no-parking allowed" between "6:00 AM until 10:00 AM".
DANG!! It was time for me to re-group! I decided to head over to somewhere at LAB???
I drove all-over LAB until I finally settled on fishing Bay Shore Ave. The weather was perfect, clear and the air was a chilly 48 degrees on the water and it eventually warmed-up to 62 degrees with lots of bright sunshine, the water conditions were experiencing an in-coming tide but where I was fishing it was behaving more like an outgoing tide ... lots of moving debris and floating trash ... the fishing on the other hand was still so-so after having that huge storm front roll through us on Thursday ... but it was still lots of fun.
I just had to hunt them a bit harder in order to locate them! And I did find them!

(1) Greenback Mackerel (no pic) Had it landed on my lap-tray, it shook like a vibrator shaking the hook free ... and over the edge it went while I was trying to take it's photo.
The only lasting image of it; in my mind, was the hook that it shook had stuck me in the left thumb! Those fish are a pain to handle!
Note: All legals shown, but just one pic of each species landed if short and all fish were quickly CPR'd.
PLEASE ... always leave it cleaner than you found it!
So please grab a hand-full and Pitch-In!!
And an added picture for our talented DIY pour guy's!
