So how many of you guys go out tubing even while it's raining? Probably not a good idea? Haha just curious because the forecast seems to indicate high chances of rain this coming Saturday, which sucks because that's the first opportunity I'll probably get to fish somewhere. I was going to hit the surf but my friend isn't going to want to if it rains. I may actually still do a solo session in the surf if I'm feeling crazy enough and if it's a bad idea trying to float tube in the rain.

I have fished in the rain plenty of times. I can't say it is better or worse than staying dry. However, I did learned not to wear any cotton. When the lightning comes it is time to get out though, unless I'm fishing with GT.

Have fun

I've fished many times in the rain and like any other day out there ... it can end up a stellar day with a good fish count ... or not so good. I's worth a try if you wear a rain jacket and lawyer-up beneath it.

Tides allowing, I would often park myself beneath the gang-plank walkways that attach the floating portion of the dock to the stationary main dock. It makes for a good shelter when it rains a bit hard.

Good call going after rain. I got some ass-rock-scraping-action last time I went.

I have fished in the rain before and it was fun. I wear my rain gear and take a golf umbrella with me. I just got an umbrella that you can clamp on to your pvc I will be trying it soon. I’ll let you know how it works out. Plus on the days when it’s sunny you won’t cook out there.

I have fished in the rain, but never float tubed in the rain. Guess I am getting soft in my older years. There is so many nice days to fish hear in SoCal I just wait a day or two for a nice day.... Spoiled I guess.... This year its been different, lots of rain.

Well I’m retired and want to enjoy everyday rain or not. But I prefer nice days also.

This year has certainly spread the rain out compared to anything I can remember in 30 years. It is almost like we scheduled a winter.
