I have a Dave Scadden frameless pontoon boat. It's like a float tube on crack. I've tried to make some straps to carry it around on my back but I'm not very good at that sort of thing. Anybody have any experience making something like this? My issue isn't the actual straps, it's that the tube is big and awkward and the straps don't actually stay where they are supposed to. I've thought about putting a strap across my chest to hold the arm straps in place, but it moves too much to hold in place. Anybody have any suggestions?

Look at the Outcast site, they have some good straps for back packing your tube.........GT

Try adding tact to where the straps contact to the tube. Use of tennis grip/golf grip aka Winn grip to reduce and hopefully remove the issue?

I may have some extra straps in my garage on the shelf.
I’ll take a look tonight after work and I’ll get back to you.

PS .... I just realized that you are in central Arizona Shocked   so you will probably be better off going to the Outcast site as GT had mentioned.

I think the strap across the chest might help you out not sure if you have tried it but might be worth a try.

Can you carry it like this?

Just watch the first part of the video to get an idea.

Thanks for the info guys. The pontoon is open in the front and it's too bulky to walk around like that and carry rods and fins and a cooler. I found some straps online that I think might work...and REI has different types and sizes so if these fail I have other options.

Cumberland is for their smaller tubes and I'm a big guy 6' tall and 325 lbs so their straps are going to be way too small. Thanks though guys.
