I previously had torn the ligaments and I had tendinitis in my right elbow and fore arm ta-boot before I even went on my  2.5 week vacation to Montana, back in May.
My arm was still very sore before I had landed my PB 37” Halibut two weekends ago. I ended up fighting the brute with just my right arm while I was attempting to jaw grip it with my Boga-Grip in my left hand.

Well, after the battle ... my right elbow/arm was a complete train wreck!  I could only move my right arm by using my left arm to move it. Extremely painful!!
May I please have a lil’ cheese with my  Sad whine?!

My arm/elbow are still quite tender and sore two weeks later ... “but a man’s gotta do .. what it is .. a man’s gotta do!”

Sore or not ... my leaders are all freshly tied, all of my gear is stowed inside my SUV and I’m hitting up LAH tomorrow morn before first light!
I’ll get back to everyone with hopefully a few fish to report!

We’ll see!  Wink

The tittle is confusing me. Salt deficiency.

You should change arms, you know, flip the handle to the other side on your reels. Any ways, good luck out there tomorrow.

I changed the title for you Jerdon. lol

I elected not to fish last weekend due to the pain in my arm but I now have a strong need to get back into the salt ... water. Hence .... my salt deficiency. lol

It wasn’t the reeling that got to me.
It was when I got the 22.5 pound fish up to the water surface (many times) and I would attempt to and fail to grip it’s jaw; while I was controlling the fish with my rod tip up in the air, and it would keep making these power dives back down to the ocean floor (8 - 9 times) while I was holding the rod tip up with my right arm as it was stripping line off my reel.

Very Happy lol ... get it!?

Sounds like a real battle.  Hope you heal quickly, and without complications.

Hahaha, my bad, I was taking the tittle literally.

I was serious about changing arms tho. Use your left arm to work the rod for while. Become ambidextrous, or die trying.

It was one-hell-of-a battle Bob butt well worth it Sir! lol

I woke up this morning and my elbow is just killing me ... heading for the door to fish anyway.
It normally takes 5 - 6 months for my tendonitis to heal.

I hope to see you out on the water soon Bob! Thumbs Up
