I saw both of your videos, looks like you started the design to break apart one way and then changed it up to break apart a different way. I liked the way you initially were going to do it, so I copied your design and then made modifications to allow the break down the way you initially were going to do it.
I do not like gluing. Gluing is permanent, and I like to have the ability to modify in the future. I instead use aluminum Pop rivets to hold the fittings together. If I need to make future mods I just drill our the rivet and that joint comes apart.
I most likely am going to have to come up with something once I get a trolling motor. Perhaps find a way to attach this to the bars running off the motor mount.
