Came across this video on youtube and was wondering if anybody had any more info on it. What could have caused this many fish to die? It seems that last year or at least in the past their were a bunch of incidents like this with both fish and birds.

I think that it was determined that the die-off was caused by oxygen depletion.
Too many fish in too small an area and they couldn't find a way out until it was too late.
They were unsure why the sardines swam into the harbor but the seas were very rough that day.
The same thing has happened in other places from what I remember hearing about it.
If anything positive came from this, one of my buddies went to Redondo and loaded up his freezer with frozen Dines geek

Yea that is a ton of free bait!

Very interesting though....hard to believe there was an oxygen depletion in the water...some of the fish were swimming around fine. Maybe the weaker ones died.....SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!
