WTF you got your gear stolen? Was it from a truck or inside your home? I recently read about a guy who had someone steal a bunch of gear from his garage and luckily it fell under his home owners insurance as theft and he was able to get some cash back from his insurance company.

Sorry to head about the bad news good luck with the sale.

Man, when it rains, it pours. I know there's more important things in life than fishing, but my mom said selling my girlfriend would fall under some stupid human trafficing law.

Just wanted to share that with you just in case... Sad

Sorry to hear that man, If you could list what you lost that might help. I hit yard sales, scan craig's list and hit the local college swap meets all the time. You never know someone on here might spot some of your gear.

I've seen stolen merchandise get confiscated at OCC and Golden West swap meets a few times. Usually bikes or car rims.

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear that. Definitely watch craigslist and hard sales/swap meets....and get ready to knock somebody teeth into the back of their throat when you come across you gear.

Also id recommend making a list as well and posting it on other forums as well....chances are this guy isnt a fisherman and will have no need for the stuff. The more people you have looking out for it the more likely he'll get caught.

try and look at your neighbors if they have surveillance camera's you never know you might catch dem try your local pawn shop and if fishing gear is all they got you might look at the people around you. my wife and i just learned who stole our civic si which got stolen in 09 chp had found our transmission in another car and led them to the dirtbags sorry that you are having hard times but it will be okay keep grinding and things will ship up

Another tip would be to use search tempest. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Allows you to search all of US or state by state for gear. I have read when guys want to sell a LOT of stolen gear they often move it 1-2 states over to avoid being caught, but if you have logged model and serial numbers other states will still help.
