I'd rather lose a fish to an Eagle or Osprey than some nasty sea lion.

Or bear...Ive seen bears stealing stringers up in the mammoth lakes area. Its actullay kind of funny when your sitting out in your tube and you hear people on the shore yelling BEAR! BEAR!

Had to defend my nephews stringer on his first outing with me fishing and he bagged 2 nice bows over 15 inches. Got to respect them ol national birds. He wasnt easily disuaded even with me standing over the fish waving my lamiglass at him. While he was still in the neighborhood I bagged a 10 incher an stunned him, pitched him in the lake an the kid got to see old Baldy snag the fish up front and personal. Was a thing of beauty an the kid brings it up when we get to see each other along with when you gonna take me fishin again ...

They went back in with a heavier rod baited with a carsass of a drum and 10 minutes later they got a shark. They didnt say if they thought it was the same one or not. They figgered the star of that video was a Bull Shark about 8 ft. long. I think we need a bigger boat !
