Shimano Updates Sahara Reel

picked up a sahara 500fd spinning reel for trout fishing last year a i love it. it's light, well balanced on my 8' ultralite, and has a smooth drag.

So this year i was gonna pick up another one. was just about to buy one when someone gave me the inside scoop that shimano was discontinuing this model and releasing a new model soon. did a search on the web and found one. check it out.

i love the new color

Shimano have always made quality gear IMO. Recently purchased a baitrunner reel and was amazed it carried a 10 year warranty.

Thats a nice reel but ever since ive used baitcasting reels, i no longer use spinning.

Ever try tossing a 1/8 oz lure with a baitcaster..?

I WAS THINKIN ABOUT GETTING THE CI4, I KNOW ITS LIKE 2 YEARS OLD, BUT IT STILL LOOKS LIKE AN AWESOME BUY.

yeah, i just have to adjust it a bit so it can actually get thrown lol.

been using the old sahara 500fd for trout fishing with no complaints. has a smooth drag and is lite weight. use it on a 8' spinmatic and it balances out the rod nicely.
