I have a set I got as a gift from a distributer of Hot Spot Fins and love them.
Definitly go some place and try them on with your waders or wader boots... knowing you are a size 12 shoe will not insure the fin size you think you should be using will fit.

This forum is very helpful but you have to understand we all like to joke around as well.
As far as fins go, check out a dive shop and fins they have. I have picked up a really nice pair of fins for only $40. Just because you see a lot of people on the net saying hot shoot fins are the best doesn't make them the best.
Also as far as fins go in my opinion it also matters what type of water you are fishing in. Is it fresh or salt?
IMO- in lakes you can get away with less of a proformance pair fins than you can in the salt where you have to deal with the tides.
