South Fork Nov 5th

Fished South Fork for a few hours on Monday. Lots of nice fish. I lost one when he jumped and spit the fly who looked to be at least 5 or 6 lbs. Had another snap the tippet on the strike..Brought 4 to the net, the best being 19 inches and fat as a pig. All fish in great shape and eating like crazy in anticipation of winter.

Get out and fish guys, best time of the year.

Is this Azua Canyon or am I way off.

no way fish that size coming out of the San Gabriel, must be out of state.

That is true I have seen some big ones in those waters, but not that big.

South Fork is a reservoir about 15 miles from Elko Nevada. It is approx. 1100 acres and has trout, wipers, small and largemouth bass and catfish. It has a little something for everybody. As I am a trout fisherman (most of the time), spring and fall are my favorites. When the weeds go down when it gets cold and the fish are bulking up for the winter, it does not get much better. The trout are built like footballs and fight like they are on steroids. 20 inch fish are not at all uncommon.
