I am going to fish Lake Mead on Saturday. Has anyone ever fished there? If so, what are good baits to use there? I do not know what species there are. Please help.

Lake mead has plenty of largemouth! Ive found swimbaits to do good along with 3" tube baits fished off rocky points and dropoffs. good luck!

I was there last September, had a blast. Lots of bass and large, no make that very large strippers. We were staying at the RV campgrounds about two miles from the marena. Head to the marena and take the dirt road to the fishing platform. Put in there and head to your right you will find a small inlet, lots of fish there. I was using small 2 and 3 inch swim bait that look like shads. If you want go to youtube and see how to make a minnow trap and get life minnows at the lake. Don't forget there are a lot of large catfish in the lake also. Let us know how you do. I live in San Diego and looking for a fishing buddy if anyone is interested.

Not only catfish, but carp also.. Big fat ugly carp... I may be wrong here, but I assume it's still pretty cold there, water wise. I'm thinkin the fish are goin to be deeper, which you probably already know.. Try fishing off the points. Have a great time...
