never had a problem I just use a headlamp and a couple glow sticks. I think it's more important you're seeing other people.

what about Rules if you do get Barnie Fife as a patrol boat ?
Been thinking about going back to my old stomping grounds in Alamitos bay at night
its been 20 years or more.
They used to force you to have a light
Just a head lamp would be nice

It is a MUST to have a light if you plan on fishing any body of water that has boat traffic at night from your tube.

Like a mentioned earlier. It was required 15-20 years ago. Even at lake Perris we needed a Nav light after dusk
I used to fish Alomitos bay back then and they checked for Nav lights.
I have not found the waterway rules but i am sure they are required by law
But maybe Barny Fife is just lax nowadays
