fishing line winder

Welcome to the Forum! Lots of great folks here to help out. Here is my 2 cents.

Berkley Portable Line Spooling Station
He loves it and the reviews are pretty solid. I spend the extra $2 -$8 to have them spool me at the tackle shop while I am shopping for lures and plastics... Much easier on me as you are only re-reeling once maybe twice a year unless you just bought the reel.

I have never used a line winder, I just put the new line spool on a screwdriver that fits, put the screwdriver in my bench-vice, put a little weight on top, and reel it in.

I am far more sophisticated than using a screwdriver and vise.
I am currently using a Caulking Gun sandwiched between an Orbital Polisher and it's box.
That's how I roll!

Nice set up dlobo by any means necessary that's how I roll too. Whatever works and is free that the route I take

renowalson: what type of reels are you trying to spool up? baitcasters, spinning, conventional? Personally I wouldn't waste my time/money on a line winder. I just make my wife hold the spool while I reel it on.

toilet bowl works good too. make sure its empty. I got toilet paper clumped up in my spool and my reel smells like poopie.

I just use the power wrapper to spool up my reels.
