Whats up everyone...

Real quick, has anyone tried those rapid release rod holders....i checked the website out and they look pretty solid, looks like they will do the job but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them.... Thumbs Up

also how do they tie down to your tube...strap?

I don't know how I feel about those. What happens once they get a little used and abused? Will the pressure of the fish tugging be enough to pop it open? Seems a little sketchy...

To answer your question (I am only guessing) it kind of looks like the scotty rod holders. If it's anything like those, then you bolt down the rod holder to a plate that has a built in strap then strap it down to your tube.

Maybe set your drag a bit looser and use circle hooks? Just a suggestion, not telling anyone how to fish.
I know that method gives me just a second or more time to get that rod in my hand. Lets them run and sometimes gets a lip hook.
