Friday morning Lake Perris report.
I launched from the boat ramp and fished 1 to 25 feet deep. I caught two fish in 5 feet of water had strikes as deep as 15 feet.
The wind was breezy to gusty enough that I had a hard time holding my position, so I put my back to the wind and kicked hard for 45 minutes. I figured I could let the wind blow me back. The bass were not interested in wacky rigs, straight tail drop shot, or jigs. They wanted curlytail stuff dragged on the bottom. The lake is down roughly 25 feet from last year at this time.
