Has anyone been to Lake Perris recently? I'm just wondering how cold the water is now and if all the vegetation has died off yet. Also is the fishing still good or is it sluggish already?

I was out Monday for a bit before the wind chased me away.
The water was 67 to 69, the weeds are breaking up and the wind was blowing big mats of weeds around. Weedless set ups were a must.
Managed this guy about 10 AM and went home.

It is slowing down. I was watching the boats bring in nothing.

Oh nice, thanks Jerdon I was going to try and buy a 5 guage wetsuit but it is costly so I'm going to give in and get me some Hodgmans waders here soon. Just because its cold is no reason for me to stop lol

No Neoprene , to darn hot even in the winter months in So Cal .  Stick to the breathable's Thumbs Up also another suggestion if you can get something with a front zipper for those urgent times to go that will help lol
