Can you share any tactics on fishing the kelp assassins? Are most of your hookups on the sink? or working the bottom?

I imagine the three diffient sizes are just for rate of fall? Thank you in advance!

I have never used skirts on saltwater swimbaits in the past but recently got on some fish with a kelp' sassin. Is this just something I have overlooked ? And will freshwater jigs work in inshore fisheries

I noticed that your grub mold has REEBS on the tail but they use to have the three holes. I like the holes can you still make those.

That certainly is the big question. Here's my take of it. There have been many days when I've been outfished by my own baits. I'm using one color, my buddy another. He's roping bass one after another, and I'm getting short bit. WTF? I switch over to his color way and still HELMET for me. WTF? Love fishing your persuader swim baits, best swim baits I've fished in my opinion, a slightly faster than medium retrieve has produced good results for me. I'm curious to know how you fish them in local so cal waters and what colors you prefer in these winter months.

As you know, It's way easier in Cedros, but here locally, I fish them fast, burning them over open pockets and alley ways. I REALLY like fishing them in skinny water just off the beach like you would a surface iron.

Thanks, I will try them in a little tighter to the shore next time out.

Salt Creek would be tough, but in La Jolla its a bit easier. Dana has good coastline too!
