Newby here!

I need to start completely from scratch, from the beginning (new) for this style of harbor fishing.
I'll need to purchase the basic tackle box (the best) and the everyday must have tackle, hooks, lead heads, types of swimies w/colors and sizes for my new adventure in harbor FT fishing.

Pictures and descriptions w/ sizes and or names would be a BIG help.
I would like to keep it as lite as possible.

Thanx everyone,

Dan

Look at buying plastic trays, so they fit your storage pockets. I have mine sorted by species, trout, LMB, Salt. U can find them at Michael's, fish'n shops, Wal- Mart, Lowes/Home Depot. Get the ones with partitions, so you can customize each one.........GT

What do you use now?
I ask cause I thought you were expanding from surffishing. Everything has to be mobile.

I use Plano or Flambo 3700 and 3600 size boxes in my Cumberland.
I put the 3700 box in first and the 3600 on top. I can do that on both side which seems to be plenty of tackle. Plus my hats, face mask, and gloves will fit. I have a satchel for spinnerbaits that I keep in the bucket behind me.

This way if I get a boat ride I can just toss whatever boxes I want into my soft sided tackle box.

I have thought about just putting hardware in the boxes and leaving the plastics in their bags, but that would require a complete re-organization.

here are some links to other guys stuff.

3"-6" paddle tail swimbaits of your favorite lure maker. I like reebs, mc's, and big hammer in bait fish colors as well as browns and reds on 1/4oz-1oz lead heads. Sizes and weights vary on depth and water flow. 1oz reebs spinner baits. Drop shot 3" flukes with 1/2oz weights. Carolina rig creature baits. The list goes on and on but I think that's the main stuff.
