Third time lucky (UK)

Had my third tubing session today and finally got a few hookups, the first pike followed my fly around my tube and hit it over the top of my fins, the first ever hook up on the tube and I was laughing like a lunatic as it sprayed water all over me before finally spitting the hook back at me. Long story short I battled squally swirling winds that one minute blew you one way the next spun you round and sent you the opposite direction.

Nice work and thanks for sharing the photos and report with us. Looks like a nice float tube spot wish i could fish it with you. Maybe some day i will take a trip out your way wouldn't that be nice. Again thanks for sharing keep up the hard work and the big guys will show.

Not sure if I should of been on it, they allow bank fishing and they have a rowing club so just took a chance. Didn't run into any problems with anyone so all good.

Awesome!!!! and thanks for reporting...what was that last pink lure hanging from his mouth...what size test you using.....rod reel if you dont mind...just want to see whats fished out there..thanks and awesome pics!!!!

I normally use a sage pike [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or I have a couple of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]'s, today both were on a di3 but had my floating line along for some shallows with hope they'd hit topwater flies but they were a little slow. 6' of 30lb seagur fluorocarbon albright knotted to 25lb knot2kinky and a mustad fastach clip. It's actually the same fly in all the photos but with different tails clipped on. Articulated streamer 6/0 up front 4/0 in the rear and a short k2k extension to a snap clip and a wiggletail like these but I had a mate spray me some tails up
