I had a wildlife encounter and didn't even know it!

Having fun learning both how to fish salt water and how to shoot video. Lots of ideas on how to improve my drop-shot offerings. Can't wait to get some "fish on" videos!

I don't really want to see what's under the surface might never tube the salt again if I saw a shark

When we were fishing from my 12 foot aluminum boat next to a dock near the end of Balboa Blvd, we caught so many big perch, that I had to bring back on our next fishing trip my fins and diving mask and see what was down there that attracted all the fish. The place we fished was only about10 feet deep on a high tide.
Pretty cool to dive down and see the rocks and eel grass and kelp. I took some mussels from a dock and crushed them to chum in some fish. There were all kinds of perch…Buttermouth, Walleyed, Rubberlip, and several Spotted Bass. A camera is nice to have, but to really see what's down there, you have to dive down and have a look, but do it on either an incoming tide or at slack high tide. The water is much clearer.

No kidding, I just don't have the cajones to tube saltwater. I know, it's an unsubstantiated fear....but , then again, I could take some tubers to tubers to freshwater places that would make them wet their waders!

Then again, I say one thing, and do another... I'll probably tube the crap out of the gulf!!!

Saltwater rocks bro. I have enjoyed it for the last 5 years now, but that video does give you the willies.
