I am looking for some collaboration on an article for Decembers magazine. If you have some knowledge of wacky fig fishing please look at the article in our publication section (link below). I am simply looking for some help to put this article together and this can be done with our Publication tool.

Thanks

I am not sure how to post with our new tool yet.

However, I do use the wacky set up quite a bit for bass. I have a selection of o-rings with in my box next to my hooks and always use an o-ring for the hook if I can. In the past I made o-rings out of clear tubing and can detect no difference in hook ups or strikes, so the black o-rings are just fine by me. I like to use a rod with a pretty flexible tip with the wacky rig for reasons I don't understand. I have been using Owner Wacky hooks lately, because some sort of offset or a circle hook helps when the bass inhale these. In the past with straighter style hook I was getting quite a few fished hooked pretty deep.
I do not use the wacky rig in water deeper than 25 feet typically and I like to throw it at targets where I suspect a bass is lurking to ambush.

Use what like Jeff.

you can pick up o rings for pennys on the dollar from any local hardware store in packs of 100 or more for $2  Smile  Also The Wacky rig can be tied into a ned rig as well  Jeff  only difference is we add a nail weight into the head of the bait and you still wacky rig the worm  Smile

That would be a Neko rig, not Ned. A poor mans nail weight works fine and is just that, a finishing nail. I keep a couple sizes with my plastics along with some real lead versions.
