Hello,
I am getting a Sea Eagle 285 frameless pontoon boat and plan on breaking it in at Silverwood Lake in early February. I sit out of the water so my question to the group is am I required to wear waders in California waters?
Thank you,
Duckman01

Good question i don't think so some lakes wouod require waders for water contact but if you are not in the water at all you should be good. Does anyone else have info on this to help out.

I would think it is more a lake by lake issue depending on who is in charge, like water districets versus State Parks. A 9 foot boat is unacceptable (13 foot Minimum no bodily contact) at Diamond Valley and Skinner as these are lakes run by the water district. On the other hand Silverwood, Perris, and other lake in the California Parks and Recreation jurisdiction should be fine. I would just call the lake and ask.

I hope this helps.
