Alaska trip

Fished the Kenai & Kustatan August 4-8.  Caught Silvers/Coho, limits everyday but one, 3 fish short.  Four of us brought home 134 pounds of fillets & ate salmon for dinner every night.  I caught the largest, 12 lbs.  In the Kenai we also caught Humpies/Pinks released them.  The Kustatan is one of the Alaska rivers that only has Silvers & trout. All four fishing days we had limits in one to two hours.

I spent 9 days in Alaska about 20 years ago. One of my very fondest memories - fishing the Kenai, fishing the Kasaliov, fishing China Poot Bay, Homer, etc.... Sterling was amazing.

So glad you had a fabulous time. Don't 'cha love you can still tie on at 1:00 AM??

Absolutely a bucket list goal!!!! I was surprised how much the Anchorage to Kenai area has a similar look as western Oregon, very green, many of the same plant life.
