Spot or not?

I caught this little guy way back in May sometime. It always looked different to me. Maybe someone here has more knowledge on if this is a spotted bass or just a really nice healthy looking "Tan"

I don't know but i am interested I will be watching this thread.

It looks like a spotted bass to me.
 The mouth looks a little shorter and it's darker towards the belly like a spot.

Largemouth Bass , looking at the photo the Upper Jaws extends past the back of the eye , the next sign is the top dorsal fins are separated by a deep notch (spots do not have the notch) .. As far as the coloring that is not a indicator in either species as they both can be light or dark depending on where they hang out .

A Spotted Bass does not have the notch in there dorsal , and the upper jaw does not extend past the eye , also another huge thing on a spot is they have rough patches on there tongue
