Last night me and a buddy fished Alamitos Bay. We launched at 64th st. On my second cast I nailed a 5-6 6in sandbass on a 4in Gulp grub in Chartruese. We kicked out way around the yacht club and started to fish the Jetties. It was pretty slow for me as I caught one 11 in sandie in this location, my buddie had the hot stick, he had about four fish already to my two. We then kicked across the the channel and fished the rocks by the yacht club, this spot was slow as we didn't catch anything and onlyhad a couple of bites.
We decided to kick to our usual spot and fsh the docks and rock in front of Ballast Point and the other reteraunts. This turned out to be a good decision. I caught 6 out of the eight fish I caught along the docks and rocks, the largest of the fish i caught was a 14 in turd roller that swalloed by bait so unfortubnately had to cut the lead head out or risk hurting this fish. My buddie caught a nice 15 in spottie at this location as well. We got on the water at 715 and off of it at 115am. A nive long night session.
I had one really big hit, that pelled drag when i set teh hook but shortly aftert got off. Wish I could had seen this beast but that is fishing. Sorry no pitures. I caught about eight and missed about twice as many, my buddie hot the hot hand and had 15-20 plus another 10 he farmed. All in all a good trip.
With that hurricane down south the tide was really ripping, and there was a lot of water movement. Thanks for reading have a great day and tight lines.

Great report thanks for sharing, I would imagine you hooked a bat ray that pilled that line just my thought but yep that is fishing. I have not done a night session in sometime starting to think I need to plan one out again.
