Location: Los Angeles Harbor, I fished LA Harbor completely different today than I had yesterday, it's my learning process.
Duration: 07:00 hrs until 12:00 hrs (5 hrs)
Sun Rise: 07:08 hrs
Sun Set: 18:04 hrs, The days are still getting shorter and shorter as each new day arrives.
Gray Light: 06:38 hrs. Except that it was gray until 10:30 hrs. lol
Tidal Conditions: 06:30 hrs 2.5 ft, 07:30 hrs 3.1 ft, 08:30 hrs 3.9 ft, 09:30 hrs 4.6 ft, 10:30 hrs 5.3 ft, 11:48 hrs HT 5.7 ft ... etc.
Air temperatures: Heavy fog, 60 deg to 68 deg, the dense fog had lifted a bit to open a little patch of very hazy blue sky thru the persistent fog at 10:30 hrs
Water temperatures: 63 deg
Wind: 06:00 hrs 2 mph WSW, 12:00 hrs 5 mph ENE, it had completely reversed directions on me!
Water clarity: Green in shallow areas and blue in the deeper areas, mostly gin clear at most spots.
Large Leaf Kelp Beds: Smaller intermittent beds but large healthy leafs!
Eel Grass Beds: Abundant and a healthy green color, not the dying brown color when the water temp gets over 68 deg's..
Water Visibility: 8 ft to 10 ft in spots.
Tidal Coefficient: (CE) 76 in the morning, this is a higher average rate.
Surf: 1-2 ft, Swell: 1.0 ft, Sec's Between Sets: 12.
iSolunar Prediction: Minor Period: 10:24 hrs until 11:54 hrs.
(3 out of 4 possible) <"))>< <"))>< <"))>< <"))><
Sea Dogs: 3- cruising bruisers
Dolphin: 1
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Bait Presence: Massive amounts of 1" to 4" shiners, also there were abundant schools of Greenback Mackerel and Jack Smelt ... breaking the water in chase of the smaller bait fish ... everywhere!
Distance kicked: 1.43 miles.
Calories Burnt: 556 calories if I had been walking, so I figure approx 700 calories were burnt while kicking for 5-hours.
