So I have an older reel that I needed to survive as it is frozen. I finally got it open and found that it had some major corrosion.

I was not surprised but I thought that with some good cleaning and lubrication I could get it up and running again.

I was able to get it to turn again but it is not as smooth as of yet. My question is this besides getting new Ball Bearings is there any solution I could soak them in to get them to move well again. Also, what is your favorite reel grease and or lubrication to use?

I soak bearings in lighter fluid.
I use a little old olive jar, swish them around and let them set overnight. Sometimes the bearings are just shot and it is time for new ones. As far as oil for bearings I use very little to none once they are clean and spinning.

For a myriad of suggestions you can look here

My father used to clean reels all the time and he used Acetone to clean.

For lubrication I use Ardent but I know its for freshwater. Only because the reels I use now have sealed bearings and are water resistant. Probably use Penn if I had a different set

Thanks guys I will look into some of these ideas.  Saltwater is a bear on your gear so I am not worried if I cannot get it work perfect.  But it would be great if it was usable again.
