Being that I live in Big Bear, I’m still set for trout fishing.
But I owe an older gentleman some Catfish and I must pay up.
So Big Bear is pretty plentiful with cat and I’ll probably go out this weekend. I plan on floating crawlers and the Mallow/shrimp combo.
I know the cat season is in full swing down the mountain,
So what’re your strategies gonna be?
Let’s hear it!
Or even your trout strategies if you’re still targeting trout!
Or bass let’s just hear it all lol

Trout I would bo troutworms on ultralight set up.  And fun great way to cover ground and searching for fish.

Catfish would be caroline rigged garlic nightcrawlers.  Again drag those worms and you keep moving looking for those cats.  Good luck.

Out here in Big Bear the 4 ft leader is key.
They’re biting on rainbow, lime twist, and garlic scents.

I wanna get into some Cats tho, I’ve honestly never thought of dragging them.
Makes sense if you wanna find them tho.
Gonna give it a shot this weekend
