Shimano Warranty

Hey my people!
I have recently discovered that Shimano has discontinued the old Symetre and reintroduced it and went cheap on the new construction.
Is this so?
Well, i recently broke my old 2007 Symetre which was rated/ reviewed as one of the BEST trout reels.
Anyway, Does anyone know if Shimano will honor their old lifetime warranties?
I’m really hoping they’ll replace this reel but if it’s a cheap build i’ll just keep my broken one lol

Id imagine they do as they are a very reputable company and because it says LIFETIME. They are not defunct. What I'm thinking they'll do is replace it with its modern equivalent, If of course they cannot fix it. I know you'd rather them not replace it with the cheaper newer one so maybe ask them to credit u with another you're interested in?

i have had to replace rods before but never a reel!

i have had to replace rods before but never a reel!

Id also look for another on ebay. Cant tell you how many times ive found now defunct things on there including shimano reels bro. Make sure the pics look good and they state that it is in used or good condition. Good luck man

Not to change the topic on you … but I was just at Big Bear Lake last Saturday and …   Man-O-Man!!!, the lake’s water-level was way down … sad .
How has the fishing been for you there lately at BBL?
