I've been trying to learn how to tie this knot but couldn't figure it out until I found this video.


This knot comes in handy for trout fishing. Wink

I've used that knot for years when deep sea fishing the bottom, but never use it for trout. How do you use it for trout? Are you trying to keep a midge just off the bottom or something?

I assume there is an advantage to this knot rather than using an overhand dropper loop. Less slippage maybe?

it is a ggod i have used it for years deep sea fishing the weight or the hook can be put on the loop.
The loop can be cut, then tie a hook on, cut the extra piece of line this works great on pan fish. with light line.
