Out of curiosity, has anyone seen wheels mounted on a float tube for transporting?
Starting to think about building a rod rack and may incorporate them into it
Thinking some lightweight, but large diameter wheels that will fit into a socket on the bottom side then unplug and stored on the topside. Similar to a kayak.

I'm thinking that it would be cool to put your gear in the tube and wheel it down to the the water. Cool

I like the idea. I would want to overcome the weight factor and choose a wheel(s) to handle various terrain.

Hey guys,
saw a guy who adapted a small plastic folding luggage dolly, kinda like those small grocery carts you see the old ladies use walking to and from the market. It was crude but worked well. Said he got the dolly at Target. The dolly came in four folding parts with a collapsable handle. He basically split it in half and plugged each half into the bottom of his PVC plumbing. (rod holder rig). the wheels were small but he drug his tube around like a piece of luggage! It worked!

I have tossed around the idea of a "nose cone" for lack of a better term sort of thing for my 420 Since it is an "A" shape I thought of some sort of device I could attach a single wheel to the tip "back" point of the tube and then roll the whole set up from the two pontoon tips like a wheel barrel of sorts. One wheel off one of those carts you mentioned bodfish and little weight to consider? Dunno. Have to play it out and see. Love the idea though. I am getting old and lazy.

Kind of like that
Will be looking for some lightweight plastic wheels and make an axle out of a long bolt then cross drill a piece of PVC pipe and plug that into the bottom of the rod rack

Hey waxon,
I just finished my "wheel barrow" for my toon and learned a lot about PVC. I was thinking that if you already have a PVC rod holder for your tube it may not be too difficult to build on to your existing PVC frame. I will post some pics tonite, it may help you develop your design.

It is undetermined at this time, but it's getting closer to finding out!
