Anyone head to Del Mar for the Fred Hall Show?

Went Saturday evening was wondering what your thoughts were on it? I thought it sucked. I did however get BH 3" swimbaits for .50ea and 4" for .75

Parking sucked and it was $10, fortunately I got free tickets.

i was there yesterday.... its really small compared to longbeach.. some booths at longbeach didnt even come to del mar..

I swooped on the 3" BH at FH LBC. Also, the darter heads were only 3 bucks a pack. Got some of them too.

I was there the whole show working the Jimmy's Outdoor booth...man was it torture!

Small crowds of people not wanting to spend anything. Most common phase I heard from people was.....

" I can get that at Walmart for cheaper! "

That kind of thinking is why alot of tackle shops are going out of business! You might be able to save a few cents at Walmart but you will NEVER get the help or advice like you would from a tackle shop!


PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TACKLE SHOPS GUYS....

I agree with paying some extra dollars at the local shops. I do buy at walmart too especially when they have a bin of cheap stuff. That being said:

Walmart is a supporter of the MLPA closures...so screw them.


I too thought the show sucked. I wanted some stickers for my truck and of the booth's that I hoped would have them...well...they didnt.

I did spin 2 wheels for a total of 3 times. Total donation of $25...didnt win anything too spectacular but it felt good knowing my money went to a good cause.


Anybody know where i can get shimano and gamakatsu stickers? Lol
