I'm sure Brad can set you up with everything you need to get started. I've been wrapping for a little over a year now and trust me, it's addicting! I recommend you check out Bloodydecks, they have an awsome rod building forum that is very active. Just ask and you get your answers quick! I've learned so, so much from that forum is crazy! Also, watch youtube videos, you can learn alot from watching a video.
Practice on an old rod you dont care about and work your way up until you feel comfortable wrapping a brand spanking one from scratch! Mudhole has great videos that show you how to wrap a rod from start to finish. Also on the Batson website there are some very good detailed videos you can learn all the basics.
Start with a hand wrapper, I still use mine once in a while.
