"Green Universe" Shikari Rod

I just finished this one up and it's for sale.

Built on a Shikari IMB705 blank, 6'-6", 12-25lb,3/8 - 1 1/4oz lures, Fuji TCS seat, AmTak guides, custom shapped EVA/Hypalon grips, rubber butt cap and some Green Universe looking marbling.

shoot that's a nice stick .. what do you think that will pair up well with? Too much for the curado? (50e or 200)

Would pair up nicely with either one. Pretty much any low profile reel will work great on this rod. Has some solid backbone. you have to pull on it to see what I mean.

I plan on fishing the event. You have my number.

That rod would pair up very nice with 200 size reel of your pick. 50e would work but too light IMO. Rod like that your going to be throwing 15lb and using heavier baits.

I was able to check out this rod in person and it would be a great tube rod since it is short and it has great action to it.

A fisherman and an artist! That is one awesome looking custom rod sir! How much time do you think it took you from the beginning of the project to its completion? Then what would a custom rod like that one go for? With your skills it would be a good FTFF auction item.
You get your cost for all materials which would be minimum bid and anything over minimum could go to this site. Something to consider for a future item. Just a thought for you to ponder. I am sure you would have fellow members bidding it up to have an opportunity to own a rod of that caliber.

Thanks for the comments. This one took me about 10 total work hours. About 2 weeks in reality to build only because I work on them when I have time and some steps are a waiting process. It is for sale for $150, if you really take that into account and minus the cost of materials and parts, I'm a low payed rod builder. It's usually hard to price a rod, and if you were to price it out by hour, the price would be way high.

That said, I've done the raffle thing once on here and it went ok, to say the least. I ended up taking a loss on the rod but someone went home happy! I'd rather just sell them at whatever I price them. Wich is usually fairly cheap in my opinion considering factory wrapped rod prices.
